Ledge Method for Low Light, Sharp Photos

May 15th, 2009

I used to work as a film technician in a photo lab. I’ve printed more blurry nighttime photos than I care to remember. People, listen up good: Low light=blurry pictures. If you want to take a nice picture and it’s dark, try this little trick: Set the camera to take a timed/delayed photo and place it on a ledge. This way the camera stays perfectly still, not even shaken by pressing the shutter button. Now just figure out artistic composition and master the rule of thirds and you might take a good shot (not that I’ve been able to!)
