Feb. 1/10: Challenge complete! 3 months completely bite-free: longest stretch in my life and I have no desire to restart the habit.
Jan. 23/10: Have been very occupied the last couple weeks. Thankfully though, I've been too busy to bite!
Jan. 5/10: Bite urges are very rare these days. Only 1 or 2 per day for the last several days.
Dec. 30/09: Fatigue and mucus really turn off the bite impulse. At least my cold has a silver lining.
Dec. 21/09: Last night, for the first time in my life, the thought of biting my nails instantly repulsed me. Sweet!
Dec. 15/09: Approximate half-way point. By now, this is easy. Urges aren't really urges anymore.
Dec. 7/09: Dry skin is a biter's worst friend. Close call today.
Dec. 1/09: One month done. Urges less intense now. More aware of habit. Not a single inadvertent bite yet. Smooth sailing!
Nov. 20/09: Becoming aware of how I use biting to procrastinate. Now I actually have to work.
Nov. 16/09: Downside of not biting nails: I need to maintain them now. No big deal for most people but quite foreign to me.
Nov. 9/09: Pretty much smooth sailing. However, I need to be very careful when distracted.
Nov. 6/09: Inadvertently touched a nail to a tooth today. Close call.
Nov. 5/09: Spent yesterday fighting with a new Windows 7 install. Rickety OSs inspire nail biting. And hair pulling.
Nov. 3/09: Computer work is conducive to biting. The habit seems like a good way to slack off.
Nov. 2/09: Find I'm tempted to bite when making hard decisions; takes my mind off the problem.
Nov. 1/09: Day one. Busy all day so didn't have time to think about biting. An easy start.
